Singing Skills in Music

The pictures show children developing their singing skills as they progress through the school. These skills are taught progressively in class, singing assembly and in choir. Skills learnt include singing in rounds, singing in parts and singing in harmony. Children’s confidence in performing has improved.

Performing in Reception

The children in reception are performing songs they have learnt and practiced in class with the teacher. They have chosen their own instruments to accompany their singing and they take their own initiative to organise a group and sing together. The stage area is inviting for children.
