Fitness in PE

P.E. sessions across the school are giving children fabulous opportunities to develop fitness and skills in a wide variety of sporting activities, while also involving cross-curricular links with other subjects.

Obstacle Courses in Nursery

With physical development embedded within their curriculum, here we can see an EYFS (nursery) child developing balance, agility and co- ordination while traversing the obstacle course they have helped build themselves.

Circuit Training in Year 2

KS1 (Year 2) have been circuit training, developing fitness along with a variety of skills, including running, jumping, throwing and catching. They have also used computing skills to record and track their own progress.

Charleston Dances in Year 4

LKS2 (Year 4) have performed dances using a range of movement patterns. They have incorporated their history unit, ‘Lights, Camera, Action!’ by practising and performing their own Charleston dance routines worthy of the silver screen.

Year 5 Hockey

Children in UKS2 (Year 5) have been developing and applying skills and tactics in hockey, including competitive play. This has involved a lot of verbal and reasoning skills throughout team communication.
