Explosive Food!

On Tuesday 26th September we were treated to a show from The Royal Institute of Science called Explosive Food. The children enjoyed watching different live demonstrations about how energy is released from food, how the digestive system works along with witnessing some amazing explosions including a jelly baby being set on fire! All the children were engaged in the performance and some even got the chance to get up on stage and be part of the show.

If you would like to further your child’s curiosity of science at home then why not to some experiments together. The RI have some fantastic resources and videos that you can get on their website https://www.rigb.org/learning/activities-and-resources .

If you do try any experiments at home please share with us, we’d love to see and hear all about them!
