Vocabulary in French

The photographs celebrate our strong progress in developing our knowledge and use of French vocabulary to talk about ourselves, our families and likes and dislikes. This report explores the theme of French vocabulary in terms of talking about themselves throughout the French curriculum.

Families in Year 4

In Year 4, they have been learning about families. They have learnt the vocabulary they need to use when talking about their family. This child has been able to introduce each family member using the correct French vocabulary.

Expressing Opinions on Year 5

In Year 5, they have been learning to express their opinions. This child has been able to use the French vocabulary taught to state their preferences. This child would have been taught the vocabulary associated with food in Year 3 and is now able to use it within a sentence to explain their likes and dislikes.
