Year 5 Multi-Sport Competition

On 16th March, 10 children from Year 5 represented Heronsgate Primary School magnificently in a multi-sports competition at Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys. Seven cluster schools competed in dodgeball, basketball, and a hybrid of benchball and netball.

Our squad came top in two out of three of the sports; however, due to the (fair) technicalities of the point scoring, they JUST came in second overall. In the award ceremony, B was awarded Best Player in our squad, and A received the Best Sportsmanship prize. Mr Corrish and Mrs Spencer, who accompanied the team, returned beaming with pride, SO impressed with each and every member of our team’s performances.
